Kontabase Data Methodology

This page explains what our company databases contain, how the records are put together and what you receive after purchase. We want you to know exactly what you are buying.

What a Kontabase database contains

Each database is a list of registered companies in one country. One row is one company. Records are built from official business registers and publicly available business listings.

  • Company name and legal form
  • Registry code and registration date
  • Registered address, city and region
  • Activity (industry) classification
  • Business email address and phone number, where publicly listed
  • Employee and revenue figures, where the source publishes them

How records are structured

Every file uses the same column layout, so it opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets or your CRM import tool. Empty cells mean the value is not publicly available for that company — we do not guess or fill in values.

Why some records have no email address

Many companies, especially small ones and holding entities, never publish a business email. We only include addresses that are publicly listed as business contacts, so the number of emails is always lower than the number of companies. Each country page shows both figures.

How the data is updated

We refresh the datasets weekly from source. Company information still changes all the time — companies move, change names, close or update contacts — so some records will be out of date by the time you use them. We do not claim 100% accuracy.

What you receive after purchase

You buy the database once — there is no subscription or recurring payment. Estonian databases can be downloaded straight after payment. For other countries we email the CSV file to you within minutes of payment. Every database purchase is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.

Using the data responsibly

The data is meant for legitimate business purposes such as B2B sales, market research and supplier search. When contacting companies, follow GDPR and your local e-marketing rules, and honour opt-out requests.

Reporting incorrect data

If you find a wrong record, or want your company removed, email info@kontabase.com with the company name and registry code. We correct or remove it in the next update.
